If you want the best performance and experience, select a USB hard drive with a balance between size and RPM that you like. 2.5'' portable USB drives now come in 5400 RPM and anywhere between 60GB and 160GB of storage, so you can take as many games as you like with you at all times. 1.8'' devices (including iPods) provide sufficient performance to provide you with a great gaming experience.
